After what seems like a life time of pleading, begging, wishing, demanding and maybe even some threatening – Spotify have released its iPad app.

The iPad offering has all the features one would expect. You can search and play music from Spotify’s vast library, along with creating playlists which can sync to your device for those dark times you’re offline. The UI has undergone a complete overhaul from it’s iPhone brother. Gorgeous Retina visuals show off a ‘cover flow‘ like home screen, displaying recommendations and new releases. “Now Playing” can be viewed in a stunning full-screen view with HD artwork keeping things looking crisp. Viewing friends playlist and sharing tracks look gorgeous too.

The AirPlay feature found in the iPhone build is there too. If you have a fairly Apple orientated house this feature, paired with Spotify’s gorgeous visuals, make the iPad app the definitive way to experience Spotify in the home.
